Trainee within Group Financial Modelling & Risk Analysis

 

Main characteristics of the Graduate Trainee opportunity

  • Length of employment on a fix-term contract with Start date 1 Sept. 2019 - 30 Oct 2020 - 14 months
  • Assignment and on-the-job training in different Group Risk Modelling and Risk Analysis Teams in Zurich
  • Involvement and participation in relevant projects (supervised by trainee mentor)
  • Appropriate internal off-the-job training and introduction to Reinsurance, network activities, etc.

 

We are looking for highly qualified, motivated and enthusiastic young talents, interested to work in and contribute to various sub teams within our Group Financial Modelling & Risk Analysis Department.

 

This department is in charge of the development of SCOR’s Internal Model for the group and local entities as well as the analysis and the reporting of the capital results. During your traineeship, you will be assigned to specific tasks either related to the analysis of capital results or to the development of the Internal Model. In your role as trainee you will therefore closely cooperate and interact with other departments and by this receive a broad understanding of various processes and projects within a truly global and the 5th largest Reinsurer worldwide.

 

Your Profile

  • Above average University Degree (Master, PhD) in Actuarial Sciences, Physics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance or similar discipline)
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and/or good knowledge through previous experience with statistical tools and object-oriented programming/development (Python, R, C++ and others)
  • Good conceptual and analytical capabilities plus being able to approach tasks consistently, goal-oriented and independently
  • Excellent communication skills and command in English and preferably fluency in either French or German
  • Global mind-set, team player attitude and appetite for continuous learning and achievements in an international context
