Job Summary

The retrocession department is responsible for ensuring management and administration of all SCOR P&C Retrocessions. It includes daily administration for Individual Facultative protection, validating all proportional entries on a quarterly basis, calculating and entering manual entries, sending accounts, analysis of retro results, preparing reports, and complying with ICS processes.   This position will assist the Manager in performing these duties.     

 

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Assist in calculating manual retro claims and entering into system.
  • Enter retro conditions for new and renewal contracts into the system
  • Validate Proportional accounts before closing the books.
  • Assist in analysis of technical results.
  • Assist in preparing reports on large losses, movements, and portfolio analysis.
  • Mailing out accounts and filing contracts.
  • Assist in preparing files for quarterly ICS control reports.
  • Investigate possible anomalies during analysis of portfolio. 

 

Required experience & competencies

 

Experience:

3+ years of experience in (Re)insurance, technical accounting experience is preferred

Basic computer knowledge. (i.e. MSWord and MS Excel)

 

Personal Competences:

Able to work independently on assigned tasks, with general supervision.

Works well with numbers and pays attention to detail.

Self-motivated, takes initiative.

Good analytical skills.

Good communication skills

 

 

Required Education

  • Industry educational courses, or equivalent work experience
