Job Summary


Group Internal Audit assists the Board of Directors, in providing independent, objective assurance through audit assignments (and consulting services) designed to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of SCOR governance, policies and guidelines, risk management framework, and internal control system as well as compliance of operations with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies and guidelines, in order to give assurance - for audited scopes - on the integrity of SCOR’s assets (e.g. financial assets, human resources, systems and data), the effective use of resources and identify opportunities for process improvement.


This includes the production of the internal audit plan, internal audit assignments execution, internal audit results and corrective actions tracking results communication and reporting to the Board Audit Committee(s), as well as the maintenance of a quality improvement program.


Group Internal Audit aims to act in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations (including but not limited to the “Solvency II” Directive and its transposition texts) and with the "International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing" (thereafter the “Standards”) and its Code of Ethics, set out by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).


SCOR has one Group Internal Audit (GIA) located in Paris, Zurich, New York, London, and Singapore. GIA APAC (based in Singapore) performs audit assignments primarily for Life, P&C and general operations, based in the Asia Pacific region (including Singapore, Beijing, Hong-Kong, Seoul, Sydney, Tokyo, Mumbai). Internal Audit engagement preparation and execution are closely coordinated with the Head of Group Internal Audit and can benefit from other Group Internal Audit and external resources.  You will contribute to the Group objectives within the framework of the responsibilities described below.




Performs professional level internal auditing work. Work involves performing internal audit assignments, follow up, and projects, under the direction from the Deputy Head Group Internal Audit, and the supervision of the Lead Internal Auditor during the audit assignment fieldwork. Maintains all organizational and professional ethical standards.


Summary of essential job functions


Performs audit procedures subject to the Deputy Head direction:


Ø Based on the assignment objectives, participate in the development of the audit strategy and preliminary risk assessment, and audit work program


Ø Conduct interviews, analyze documents, develops and administer surveys, and prepares working papers aligned with the SCOR internal audit standards


Ø As part of the audit scope defined, analyze how risks are being mitigated and identify related issues and their components: criteria, conditions, root causes, risks and consequences, corrective actions i.e. recommendations, by reviewing processes, procedures and systems, testing transactions and analyzing results and supporting evidences and documenting the audit working papers accordingly,


Ø Communicates the audit results via oral presentation and written correspondence and reports, to management.


Ø Participates to the works related to the recommendations follow-up.



Throughout the assignments and as part of the department’s activities:


Ø Acquires and maintains an understanding of the internal audit role in the company’s governance, risk, compliance and internal control framework.


Ø Develops and maintains productive objective relationships with stakeholders and team members, aligned with the role of GIA and with a mindset to add value, through individual contacts and group meetings.


Ø Develop the ability to work independently under general supervision of the Deputy Head with some latitude for initiative and judgement




University degree in Accounting/Finance, Audit, IT, Risk Management / Compliance or other related industry


  • Audit experience (>3 years) with a multinational company, preferably within insurance / reinsurance, bank/ financial sector and/or audit firm.


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, language Skills (English is a must, additional language skills in Mandarin/ Korean are beneficial)


  • Ability to understand business processes and interactions, good capacity to analyze risks by considering both the strategy adopted by the company and the business environment, and exercising judgment when taking decisions / alerting the supervisors.


  • Ability to complete the assigned audit steps executions pragmatically, timely, efficiently, maintaining the required quality level in analysis and working papers documentation. Existing experience in IT audits / Data Analytics is beneficial.


  • Flair to communicate openly and clearly, verbally and in writing and readiness to hold challenging discussions, and to suggest recommendations and assess corresponding management action plans.


  • Ability to articulate and write accurate, clear, and complete deliverables (work papers, audit reports, follow-up reports).
  • Highest degree of ethics, integrity and work well in a team.
