Job Summary

SCOR is looking for an intern who wishes to learn more about the financial function of an insurance company.

In this internship position located in Singapore, you will support the Singapore Financial Controller.


The selected candidate would be working in a team environment and is expected gain insight and knowledge on certain aspects of finance and tax activities after the completion of work assignments and projects assigned.

Basic training and introduction of reinsurance will be given.


Key duties and responsibilities

  • Provides support to ORSA reporting and updating solvency results based on various stress-test scenarios.
  • Assistance in building spreadsheets and ensure data integrity used for internal or external reporting
  • Documentation of work procedures and preparation of presentations to summarise findings
  • Provide support on tax reporting and tax documentation activities 
  • Assist in other reporting activities and ad hoc projects


Required experience & competencies



  • Prior related work experience would be an advantage but is not required.
  • Knowledge of insurance, finance, tax, mathematics and statistical concepts is preferred.
  • Excellent in MS Office (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint)


Skills and Personal Competences:

  • Effective verbal and written communication, time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to comprehend financial concepts and other advanced statistical concepts.
  • Ability to think logically and perform accurate calculations in a timely manner.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical thinking ability.
  • Excellent team player.


Required Education

  • Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with a strong analytic orientation.
  • Preference will be given to candidate who are in their third year of their degree.
