- Job Summary




The Information Systems Department (ISD) is composed of 146 people in 3 entities (Management & Control, Functional, Technical).

It ensures the smooth operation, security and evolution of the Group's information system. With regard to its internal customers, it plays a role of service provider, project partner and innovation leader.

Within the ISD, the functional pillar (75 people) designs and develops new applications and maintains existing applications. It conducts the preliminary studies, establishes the functional and technical specifications and carries out the developments with its own resources or in collaboration with external partners.




hELIOS Program aims to implement an innovative, state-of-the art platform which complies with data protection requirements. Platform will administer and use the non-US seriatim data to run life reinsurance business processes using policy level high quality data.


The project will support the ambition of the SCOR Life Division by harmonizing processes, replacing multiple isolated tools heritage of the past and focusing people on more added value tasks.


Job Summary


System Analyst ensures hELIOS platform is compliant with all non-functional requirements and IT policies, and quality of services (SLA) is met, both during Build and Run mode. In particular, he works on all implementations phases from design to acceptance, roll-out and maintenance, in proximity with SCOR IT SMEs and vendors.


The position is primarily to be fulfilled in Paris with potential travels in Europe (Paris, Zurich, London) or US (Charlotte, Kansas City)


- Key duties and responsibilities


  • Contribute to the design phase and the global software architecture definition
  • Provide technical/architecture guidance when needed, identify options and assess them for both technical and business suitability
  • Contribute and Review deliverables (Functional, Architecture, Technical specifications and Test plan)
  • Coordinate activities across teams (internal and external) and tackle open-points with IT SMEs support
  • Contribute to acceptance phases, in particular integration and end-to-end interfaces testing: tests scenarios production and tests execution, tickets creation and follow up with the providers)
  • Coordinate and contribute to execution of performance and security tests
  • Ensure environment readiness according to plan
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support during Run mode
  • Contribute to maintenance effort (preventive, evolutive, corrective)
  • Guarantee the maintenance of the documentary reference and develop it where it is insufficient
  • Provide detailed reporting to SCOR IT project manager


- Required experience & competencies


The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in projects in similar environment and be able to communicate with technical experts/developpers (but we don’t ask to be expert):

  • Web-based technologies (Angular, ASP.NET)
  • Java J2EE / C#
  • Microservices
  • Web services (specification WS-x)
  • Cloud solutions
  • SQL
  • Applications integration (e. g.: Middleware solutions, ETL, Web services,..)
  • Security, network, infrastructure technical notions
  • Containers/DevOps


The candidate must be used to work in a cross-cultural environment and communicate with business team when needed. The role requires a fluent English skills (oral & written).

- Required Education

  • Higher education in computer science (engineering schools or equivalent) or equivalent training with experience in computer science
