- Job Summary

In the SCOR Global P&C division, under the direction of the Chief Business Transformation Officer and as part of the transformational initiative, the Head of Data Strategy will be responsible for building the data vision and strategy for SCOR P&C. He/she will lead the data transformation agenda across the organization, defining and setting up the teams, tools and processes to reach the business goals.

 

- Key duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for building the data vision and strategy supporting the business strategic goals
  • Drive discussions at all level of organization to ensure critical business objectives are captured and define how data will support the achievements of the business ambitions
  • Define the data initiatives and roadmap required to deliver business ambitions
  • Identify skills within the organization
  • Define requirements and ensure business can deliver MVP with state-of-the art standards and tools by collaborating with IT
  • Set up and lead appropriate governance
  • Build the data transformation business case, identifying with business leaders high level benefits and estimate associated costs
  • Ensure delivery of data strategy roadmap including data use cases end-to-end project management…
  • Ensure iterative test and lean initiatives are applied
  • Drive the data culture agenda across organization
  • Federate P&C data solutions community and ensure the synergies within the business unit.
  • Being aware of data innovations and help in anticipating market changes related to model/data usage

 

- Required experience & competencies

Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience on data transformation initiatives
  • 5+ years’ Data science experience  
  • 5+ years’ business experience in insurance/reinsurance or actuarial
  • Strong experience on:
  • Data project delivery:  general knowledge of the different steps of data solution delivery and good understanding of challenges to push models into production
  • data governance, data management system implementation and database structures
  • building, designing, supporting machine learning based solutions or analytic development
  • artificial intelligence
  • project management
  • data value assessment
  • Sensitive to data innovations
  • Strong business acumen (risk management, pricing)
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills with demonstrated ability to partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • (Re)insurance market awareness
