- Job Summary

Within SCOR Global P&C, under the direction of the Chief Business Transformation Officer, the cost Controller will be responsible for the general expense function, which entails building the transformation business case, running cost and budget analysis and reviews and delivering regular and ad-hoc financial reports. Support the budget management discipline practices


- Key duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for reviewing the existing P&C general expense function and proposing a new set-up
  • Interface with several functions outside the BU. Establish strong collaboration with Group Cost Control Function as well as SGP&C Finance team
  • Provide analysis and findings regarding overall cost and expenses covering direct & indirect costs
  • Provide/build relevant benchmark
  • Recommend actions to contain/reduce the overall cost ratio  
  • Lead/coordinate the budget management process for the BU
  • Regarding costs as well as resources, provide tools and dashboards to monitor actuals vs plan and drive actions when required
  • Lead forecast and budgets monitoring
  • Build and deploy consistent framework for Business Case, benefits/savings capture
  • Identify/Consolidate efficiency savings projects and track & communicate savings/benefits tracking
  • As part of the overall transformation plan, collect and produce the transformation business case
  • Contribute to OpEX analysis to prioritise actions for more simplicity and efficiency
  • Lead the Data & Analytics agenda for General expense for the BU


- Required experience & competencies


  • 8+ years’ experience in financial controlling
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities
  • Auditing, accounting, and corporate finance proven experience
  • Business Performance management
  • Reinsurance/insurance knowledge
  • Experience providing Data driven insights
  • Experience leveraging agile approach

- Required Education

  • Master’s degree in finance or equivalent
