IT Technical

The Information Systems Department (ISD) is composed of 171 people, organized around in 3 entities: Management & Control, Functional, Technical.

It ensures the smooth operation, security and evolution of the Group's information system. With regards to its internal customers, it plays a role of service provider, project partner and innovation leader.

 

- Job Summary

The Life CSM Engine (SAS Solution for IFRS 17 + SAS Visual Analytics) is a key element of the future value-chain of the SCOR Global Life Business Unit since it will produce the technical results for the new IFRS 17 financial standard.

The CSM Engine IT-Technical Owner will be in charge of the delivery and monitoring activities of this new important system. The main technical topics that remain to be addressed are related to the robustness and security of the delivery pipeline in relation with our integrator, cloud implementation and configuration taking into account performance requirements.

This position will require to enter into the details of the technical architecture of the module but also contribute to activities led by the IT-Functional team. When it will be about supporting the integration tests or producing monitoring activity reports, this position will also require some appetite for the functional aspects.

 

IT Technical Production team is composed of 35 members worldwide (Build 22, Run 5, Support 8). Position is within Build team responsible for implementing new solutions and changes as providing Level 2&3 support.

 

- Key duties and responsibilities

Management…

  • Ownership of the technical backlog fed in relation with the SCOR IT-Functional managers and the integrator.
  • Reporting activity.

 

Design/Implementation/Delivery/Run…

  • Ownership of the delivery pipeline related to all environments, from DEV to PROD, following the SCOR-IT Technical rules and guidelines.
  • Ownership of the technical upgrade procedures according to the editor’s and integrator’s recommendations.
  • Ownership of the monitoring framework (to be implemented) for all environments, from DEV to PROD, leveraging on the SCOR-IT Technical existing tools and best practices.
  • During dry-run phase in 2022 and afterwards during BaU mode, monitoring of the Life CSM Engine runs according to orchestration rules.

 

Testing…

  • Provide IT-support during the execution of technical tests: performance tests, integration tests with upstream and downstream systems…
  • Provide IT-support during the execution of the functional tests (file transfers, scripting, activity monitoring…).

 

- Required experience & competencies

Experience:

  • Starting +5 years of experience participating in IT-Technical operations related to solution maintenance and support in an international context, and including direct contact with IT-Functional teams.

 

Technical expertise should include :

  • Linux and scripting,
  • Java and Tomcat,
  • GIT, Jenkins (SAS solution has a double level of DevOps pipelines : one embedded within SAS solution on DEV environment, but it also relies on SCOR CICD to deploy artefacts to all Non DEV environments. SCOR CICD is owned by Production Support team)  

Azure experience would be a plus.

- Required Education

BA/MD technical degree in information services management, computer science, applied mathematics or related fields, or equivalent work experience
