Job Specification 

Principle responsibilities are over Data Quality , MGA’S and LOC’S . 

 

Principal duties and responsibilities

•    Sound knowledge of reinsurance and direct insurance business, both facultative and treaty premium accounting.
•    Data Quality Control.
•    External Reporting.
•    Good knowledge of estimate analysis relative to reinsurance business. 
•    Understanding of charges, which will include Commission calculations, brokerages, taxes including European IPT’s .
•    Cash Accounting Experience.
•    Good reconciliation skills, experience with sub ledger to main ledger reconciliation.
•    Attendance and participation at User Groups where required.
•    Develop and maintain productive working relationships with Deputy Head of UK Admin and other key stakeholders.
•    Contribute to process and quality improvement
•    Identify weaknesses within the various disciplines and recommend strategies for process improvement.
•    Plan and deliver training sessions to improve current processes, seeking support from other subsidiaries as required.
•    Control the growing MGA business in terms of Technical Accounting, ICS controls and all aspects of reporting (both internal and external).
•    Control the LOC and Collateral process for UK Administered Entities.

•    Contributes to the overall results of the company by ensuring all quarterly and annual closings are accurate and timely. 
•    Enhances the Company image by efficient and pleasant relationships with all key stakeholders.


Required education 
•    University Educated in related discipline or Relevant Market experience. 
•    Progressing towards professional qualifications 


Required experience & competencies

Experience - 

•    Experience working within insurance /reinsurance environment
•    Essential - Technical premiums and claims knowledge including experience of xChanging  systems.
•    Strong London market knowledge 
•    MGA/ Delegated Authority experience
•    Experience working on projects and co-ordination
•    Advanced Excel and data management
•    Desirable – European IPT tax knowledge


Personal Competences:

•    Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and drill down data analysis
•    Experience in Xchanging and Eprocessing.
