  • To assist in the production of routine reporting, claims metrics, portfolio analytics and the design, development, delivery and maintenance of an enhanced MI Environment.  Using associated tools to ensure that the SCOR Global P&C Claims Department is equipped to meet necessary deadlines, with the required resilience to consistently, accurately and efficiently deliver the reporting and analysis necessary to manage the requirements of a Global Business.

P&C Global Claims is a SCOR central transverse function that oversees the claims activities within each Hub across SCOR Global P&C, ensuring the proactive adjustment and management of claims reserves, and the timely provision of accurate management information to SCOR Global P&C leadership.


  • Under the responsibility of the P&C Global Claims Management Information Manager, the candidate will assist in the delivery of the department’s objectives during the year, specifically:
  • To assist with the development and creation of a single claims reporting domain to meet the needs of key stakeholders, to centralise the storage of a high quality data set which will enable the production of enhanced claims management information, dashboards and key performance indicators and enable the development of a broader analytics capability over time 
  • To contribute to the specification, development and introduction of automated dashboards & management information,  improved routine operational reporting & KPI’s 
  • Work in collaboration with SCOR’s IT function on the creation & maintenance of effective enterprise level tools that enable swift extraction of accurate & reconciled data from SCOR core systems in a consistent manner
  • To assist the Management Information Manager in their role as reporting lead on the existing and future reporting projects, particularly in respect of providing clear well documented requirements, summarising the functional needs of the claims business.  As well as ensuring requirements are delivered, tested and implemented
  • To deliver analysis and standard metrics around claim ownership, transaction counts and effective touches utilising data analytics tools and methodologies
  • Assist in the specification, design and creation of “Tableau” graphical style dashboards/KPI reports to assist in running and managing the business, flagging large movements/exceptional items, trends, analysis of portfolio
  • To assist in the creation of an environment that empowers end users to run reports on their individual portfolios, allowing the data to be analysed and sliced and diced whilst ensuring consistency and reliability in the output
  • To assist in identifying data issues, perform root cause analysis and in collaboration with the claim’s platform project team, work to provide solutions to improve data integrity & accuracy
  • The production of accurate & timely business as usual daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reports & dashboards
  • Assist in the development and enhance the knowledge of other members of the team and act as mentor to the Graduate team members.

Required education 

  • Educated to Degree standard (2:1)
  • Progress towards ACII desirable but not essential
  • Required experience and skills (Which experience and skills are required to fill the position)
  • Previous experience of working on systems projects involving change management 
  • Strong organisational skills – ability to manage multiple projects and work-streams simultaneously
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills; building strong relationships in order to coordinate and collaborate effectively with key internal stakeholders including claims management, underwriters, finance and actuarial functions in all hubs/offices in different countries.
  • Conversant with project management approach and methodology
  • Good written and oral communication and advanced report writing skills with the ability to assemble succinct PowerPoint presentations
  • Self-motivated with good drive and enthusiasm; confident, requiring minimal direction & supervision 
  • Strong attention to detail Strong Microsoft Office Skills required, Excel to advanced level, knowledge of Access 
  • Advanced level user of end user reporting tools (Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI, SQL etc.) gained working in an insurance or reinsurance organisation
  • Previous experience of building dashboards/KPI’s in administration of (re)insurance claims & the systems and related control processes
  • Occasional travel to other SCOR offices will be required.
