Principal duties and responsibilities

    Project Management
o    Tenders – assist in delivery of tenders to clients following agreed process & deadlines
o    Business Implementation – implementation of new business for allocated clients according to agreed process and deadlines, ensuring a smooth operation of reinsurance relationships.
o    Assist in delivery of technical service to clients, such as experience evaluation and optimisation.

•    Preparation for actuarial presentations to clients & target clients
o    Ensure relevant content & material available for presentations.
•    Client Management for allocated clients 
o    Co-ordination of delivery of excellent service to clients
o    Management of client expectations

•    Treaty Production
o    Management of  version  control  for  treaty  production  process  and  monitoring  of internal sign-offs
o    Production of treaties for allocated clients.

•    Promoting the SCOR brand at Industry events
o    Involvement in industry bodies
o    Presentations at industry events – desirable, not essential
o    Hosting SCOR seminars and marketing events as part of the Marketing Team.

•    Research
o    Production   of   agreed   research   material,   particularly   with   regard   to   market developments or product initiatives.

Required education

•    Qualified Actuary
•    Good working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel packages.

Required experience & competencies Experience:
•    Proven experience in the UK life insurance / reinsurance market.
•    Experience of the pricing and risk factors associated with the major individual protection benefits available in the UK life insurance market.
•    Knowledge of the different types of protection products available in the UK market.
•    Knowledge of Data Science applications such as R, Python or Tableau.
•    Experience of project management & in particular agile methodology (desirable)
•    Direct office experience. (desirable)

Personal Competences

•    Technical skills – technical skills in the pricing and construction of life insurance products. Experience of using different data visualization tools would be an advantage.
•    Problem solving – the ability to work flexibly to devise practical & innovative solutions for the issues faced by SCOR and its client companies.
•    Interpersonal skills – the ability to develop effective personal relationships with both working colleagues and clients.
•    Project management – effective project management skills including time management, 
•    Negotiation Skills – the ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of SCOR when dealing with clients or other third parties.
•    Report writing – production of papers from conception to delivery
•    Presentational skills – ability to present services or solutions internally or externally.
•    Change management – strong appetite for driving change and continuously improving processes.
•    Ability to work autonomously
•    Team spirit
