Job Summary:

The Senior Production Engineer supports the company’s strategic and operating objectives through administration, maintenance and management of the technical systems supporting SCOR business applications.  Works directly with application stakeholders to recommend/specify and implement technical solutions to meet business and functional requirements.  Ensures technical solution are appropriate and align with IT Production standards.



  • Responsible for managing provisioning, maintenance, deployment/configuration, monitoring and reliable operation of applications, databases, interfaces, and batch processing.
  • Work with cloud and data center providers to support underlying infrastructure (servers, storage, network, etc…)
  • Coordinate and implement batch scheduling on new and existing projects for all environments.
  • Analyze complex application dependencies and pre-requisite relationships and work actively with the applications developers to optimize job processing and scheduling aligned to business requirements.
  • As part of global team, provides 24/7 on-call production support for application and batch failures on rotating schedule, implementing documented resolutions, or escalating as needed.
  • Performs troubleshooting of application and batch failures to ensure normal operations.  Providing root cause analysis and documentation of problems and resolutions when needed.
  • Monitor regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Deploy application and batch changes using manual and automated/CICD processes
  • Install and document updates to system components and software
  • Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
  • Ensure adequate controls and control reports are available to comply with regulators and global governance.
  • Ensure compliance with IT technical policies.
  • Ensure compliance and deliver evidence as required to maintain ICS controls.



  • Bachelor’s degree is required, with major in Information Science or related field desirable.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting IT production systems.
  • Strong expertise with administration and support of enterprise batch scheduling platform.  Prior support/administration of ActiveBatch a plus.
  • Strong analytical and communications skills are required.
  • Working expertise with the following (or similar) technology:
    • Microsoft Windows, SQL Server and .NET technology stack
    • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc…) and technology (containerization, big data, elastic/on-demand compute, etc..)
    • Networking (DNS, routing, etc…) & other protocols/solutions (SMB, FTP, SFTP, FTPS, other SaaS)
    • Imaging systems (XBound, IBM FileNet, IBM CM)
    • OFAC/sanction checking systems (WatchDog)
    • Fax servers and applications (RightFax, FAXPress)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Transact SQL is preferred.
