Job Summary:

The Underwriting Intern will be supporting the Underwriting and Claims functions of the Hong Kong team in the daily operation and underwriting and claims guidelines, as well as product support within SCOR.

Key duties and responsibilities:

Main Scope

  • Support the underwriting team in daily operation
  • Research on underwriting and claims practices and guidelines, reporting on emerging trends as relevant to SCOR and market
  • Support in development of the underwriting & claims guidelines
  • Assist in reporting preparation for Regional or Head office
  • Product research
  • Project specific support
  • Technical support to marketing team as needed
  • Market intelligence research on life and health insurance products
  • To prepare product reports for Regional Office / Head Office



  • Previous working experience or internship in insurance industry is not required but will be advantageous;

Required Education

  • School of Sciences in Biology related or minimum second year of Life Science/Medical program in Universities
