Job Summary

1.         Assist in Managing the Technical Accounting close in Omega for SCOR US

2.         Monitor completion of ICS reports. 

3.         Assist in analysis of technical results and determining necessary adjustments. 

4.         Monitor and report on Tech Acctg Dept KPI’s throughout the year.

 

 

 

Key duties and responsibilities

 

•           Manage quarterly ICS EGPI and Loss Ratio review by underwriters and TA’s for recommended changes. This entails follow up to ensure a 95% response ratio from UW, reviewing responses for accuracy and securing support in a shared drive. 

•           Monitor large loss movements, enter AE’s for changes in ACR’s and prepare reports for analysis during the quarter close period.  

•           Monitor and explain financial movements in the daily landing and Delta reports during the closing period.

•           Prepare Assistance Entries when needed for entry into OMEGA.

•           Monitor KPI’s throughout the year, and prepare quarterly reports. 

•           Assist with retrocession calculations during closing period if needed.

•           Investigate possible anomalies during analysis of portfolio. 

•           Special projects as assigned by Dept head.

•           Prepare assumed schedule F.

Required experience & competencies

 

Experience:

 

Practical experience and knowledge in the Reinsurance industry.

Knowledge of annual statement reporting preferred.

Advanced computer knowledge (ie. MSWord and MSExcel).

Proficient in Business Objects is a plus.

Excellent analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
